This announcement came on the heels of the pending FDA approval of the “first of its kind” experiential learning opportunity for trainees to experience MDMA as a part of their training. This approval could come as early as July 2024. At this time, only licensed professionals will be eligible to complete the experiential portion but unlicensed practitioners can do the remote coursework to build skills to serve as a secondary sitter for medicine work alongside a licensed professional.
