The inaugural Global Psychedelic Week is set to take place November 3-9, 2025 with both virtual and in-person programming throughout the weeklong conference. The main sessions will be taking place online and feature participants from 100 countries and globally renowned experts covering subject areas including psychedelic clinical practice, cutting edge research, drug policy reform and indigenous traditions grounded within culturally aware contexts across borders. The in-person satellite events accompanying the main online conference are taking place in cities across 5 continents and over a dozen countries.

A Global Patchwork of Psychedelic Engagement

What began as a vision to unite the psychedelic community across borders has blossomed into a dynamic, continuously evolving movement that is reaching new audiences across the planet. “GPW” Organizers anticipate over 100 local gatherings worldwide—from art gallery conversations in Berlin and the Entheogen Expo in Los Angeles to forums in Buenos Aires and Goa. These meet-ups complement GPW’s online offerings, facilitating face-to-face connection across diverse cultural landscapes.

As GPW co‑founder Milica Radovic Mandic puts it,

“Rather than gathering in a single location, we’re fostering the space for local connection, reflection, and dialogue. These gatherings feature deeper engagement rooted in local culture and relationships. This is how a truly global movement grows, from the ground up.”

Voices and Venues: Celebrating the Spectrum of Psychedelic Culture

With more than 85 confirmed speakers, Global Psychedelic Week brings together both renowned icons—like Rick Doblin (founder of MAPS) and Robin Carhart‑Harris (UCSF researcher and TIME100 NEXT honoree)—and lesser-known activists, especially from underrepresented global communities in countries like Zimbabwe, Serbia, Taiwan and other regions where psychedelic science and culture have not been traditionally publicly represented and expressed.

Among the many in-person events hosts are renowned entrepreneurs and activists such as Shontelle Pinch of Choose Happy Jamaica, who’s not only speaking at the main online event but also hosting an in-person GPW gathering in Jamaica.

Happy Tea, a Dutch microdose-focused retailer, is also organizing an in‑person GPW gathering in the Netherlands.

In the U.S., confirmed events are happening in Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, and Chicago, with more to come as GPW rolls out regional partnerships. Notably, Denver benefits from the progressive legal climate enabled by Proposition 122, which allows adults 21 years of age and over to cultivate, possess, consume, and share five natural psychedelics under a “Grow, Gather, Gift” model.

Decentralization Meets Global Unity

GPW champions community-driven momentum. Rather than centralizing gatherings in a single location, the Week decentralizes conversations—meeting people where they are, with events tailored by local culture and context.

This grassroots framework enables dialogues in places shaped by complex histories of prohibition and cultural exclusion. Through Global Psychedelic Week, stakeholders in places like South Africa and Russia can connect with their contemporaries in the United States, Australia, Japan and beyond to help shape a global discourse around the emergent field of psychedelics.

Why In-Person Matters Now

The global psychedelic movement has surged, backed by mounting scientific data and media coverage. Yet, its enduring vitality relies on local ecosystems—grassroots organizers, cultural educators, and committed collectives who preserve and evolve psychedelic science and culture.

Looking Ahead

Global Psychedelic Week is not just an event—it’s a model for cross-border psychedelic diplomacy. By empowering decentralized gatherings, it nurtures connection, equity, and innovation across pockets of psychedelic culture that span geographies, identities, and worldviews. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are available for aligned brands and organizations to tap into the 5000+ global audience and millions of social media and legacy media impressions that GPW is accruing through a network of media and community partners. Interested parties can reach out to Milica@bizdelics.com to discuss sponsorship and advertising opportunities for GPW.

If you’re organizing an event, hosting a circle, curating an exhibition, or simply seeking community—visit GPW’s site to explore joining the virtual and in-person programming opportunities for the inaugural Global Psychedelic Week.
